Station Manager

Station Manager is a station manager role in vegetable seeds breeding at Rijk Zwaan in Serik, Antalya, Turkey. The role shares leadership of three breeding stations with the current Station Manager and leads a team of approximately 50 employees, reporting to the R and D Managing Director Turkiye. Key Responsibilities

• Share leadership with the current Station Manager and jointly oversee the operational and strategic development of Rijk Zwaan's three breeding stations in Antalya.
• Lead, coach and support a team of approximately 50 employees across the three stations.
• Lead and coordinate day-to-day station operations.
• Ensure efficient use of facilities, equipment, vehicles and other resources.
• Manage operational budgets and monitor related expenditures.
• Plan and manage five-year investment budgets and monitor budget realisation against plans.
• Coordinate service providers, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and company standards.
• Support infrastructure development and operational improvement projects.
• Monitor developments in agricultural technologies and digital farming solutions, and evaluate opportunities to implement innovations that improve efficiency and sustainability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence across the stations.
• Act as a trusted partner for colleagues and management by providing practical and sustainable solutions.
• Strengthen cooperation between Breeding, Execution, Sales and Support teams.
• As an active member of the Management Team, contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategy and operational objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an Agricultural Faculty.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in agricultural operations, station management, farm management, production or a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of agricultural production processes and infrastructure management.
• Passion for emerging agricultural technologies, precision farming, automation, digital agriculture and sustainability trends.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Experience managing budgets, contractors and operational processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken (Advanced).
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Class B driving licence.
