Ramp Agent (Station Attendant)

Air Canada in Dorval, Quebec, Canada is hiring a Ramp Agent (Station Attendant) at CAD 23.36 per hour. This is a full time airport role, starting as soon as possible, with rotating shifts over 24 hours, including weekends and holidays, and a 9 to 10 week full time paid training programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with aircraft loading and unloading operations
• Handle passenger baggage and cargo
• Transfer connecting passengers baggage between flights
• Operate ground service equipment
• Perform various duties on the airport tarmac
• Work closely with other airport employees
• Ensure aircraft ground operations are completed safely and on time
• Follow airport safety and security procedures
• Contribute to smooth and successful airport operations

Requirements

• Valid drivers licence
• Able to lift 70 lbs repeatedly and physically fit for demanding duties
• Able to pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test
• Available to attend and successfully complete a 9 to 10 week full time paid training programme
• Available to work rotating shifts over 24 hours, including weekends and holidays
• Safety and security conscious, with good communication skills and able to work in a team
• Punctual and dependable, able to work in different weather conditions
• Able to obtain and maintain required security clearances and authorizations
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain any required work permits or visas
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, able to follow instructions carefully and manage time well
• Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced airport environment
