A Personal care provider, home care opening is available in North York, Ontario, Canada. The role pays CAD 21.00 per hour for 30 hours per week on a permanent full-time basis, with 1 vacancy. The successful applicant will start as soon as possible, providing care and support in the employer's or client's home, mainly for elderly clients and persons with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care to clients
- Assist clients with bathing and other personal hygiene activities
- Assist in regular exercise, such as walking
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Provide companionship and personal care
- Prepare and serve healthy meals
Requirements
- Fluent in English
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student
- CPR Certificate, Certificate of Conduct and First Aid Certificate
- Able to handle up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- Punctual, client-focused, dependable, organized and flexible, with excellent oral communication skills, good judgment, reliability and teamwork
- Able to act independently and take initiative
- Criminal background check required and valid reference information required
- Able to work in a smoke-free home setting, in a fast-paced environment, performing physically demanding and repetitive tasks, walking for long periods and working under pressure
