Delivery Truck Driver

7-Eleven in Oakville, Ontario, Canada is hiring a Delivery Truck Driver at CAD 28.00 per hour for 45 to 50 hours per week. This is a permanent full time position, starting as soon as possible, on the day shift, Monday to Saturday, 4 shifts per week, delivering products to retail store locations across the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver various products directly to retail store locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area
• Physically handle and unload freight using tailgates, hand carts and dollies
• Operate company-owned tandem-axle trucks with automatic transmissions
• Complete 10-hour shifts, four or five days per week
• Maintain accurate delivery logs
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Build positive relationships with store staff and maintain excellent customer service during deliveries

Requirements

• Valid Class AZ driver's licence
• Clean and current driver's abstract with no more than three demerit points
• At least two years of heavy truck driving experience; previous delivery experience is preferred
• Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in both cold and warm environments
• Working smartphone, willing to use it for work purposes
• Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
• Able to pass a criminal background check upon hiring
