Responsibilities

As a Store Clerk, your main responsibilities will include

Greeting and helping customers with their questions, orders, and returns.
Preserving a spotless and well-organized shopping atmosphere.
Restocking and setting up products on racks and showcases.
Operating the cash register and accurately processing consumer transactions.
Providing details about the goods, specials, and store rules.
Tracking inventory levels and informing management of shortages.
Helping to receive and examine cargo shipments.
Working together with the store staff to achieve sales goals and targets.
Keeping an eye out for perishable goods’ expiration dates.
Ensuring adherence to safety rules and shop standards.
Competent handling of consumer concerns and problem-solving.
Doing any additional tasks that the store manager or supervisor may assign.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications

Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
For managing inventory and handling cash, basic math abilities are required.
