Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to fill a role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ideal applicant will be conversant with accounting concepts and procedures and possess one to two years of relevant accounting experience. This position provides an opportunity to support a Dubai-based company’s financial management.

Responsibilities

Your duties as an assistant accountant will consist of:

Helping with routine accounting tasks.
Handling the accounts receivable and payable.
Creating financial reports and documentation.
Keeping precise financial documentation.
Helping with financial analysis and budgeting.
Working together with the finance department to guarantee adherence to accounting guidelines.
Managing regular financial exchanges.
Helping with the year-end and month-end closing procedures.
Additional accounting-related duties as needed.

Requirements

You must fulfil the following criteria in order to be considered for the Assistant Accountant position:

One to two years of experience working as a junior accountant.
A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or its equivalent.
Familiarity with accounting concepts and procedures.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Accuracy and meticulousness in financial reporting.
Strong multitasking and organising abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
It is advantageous to be familiar with Dubai’s tax and VAT laws.
