Responsibilities:

Duties include measuring and cutting materials, constructing and repairing structures & reading blueprints:

  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Layouts per building codes
  • Measure and cut materials
  • Shape and assemble components
  • Build foundations and floors
  • Erect walls and roof systems
  • Install windows and doors
  • Fit mouldings and hardware
  • Coordinate site work schedules
  • Survey building levels
  • Instruct and supervise workers
