Responsibilities:

Duties include reading blueprints, measuring materials, cutting wood & assembling structures:

  • Prepare estimates of labour/material costs
  • Read blueprints and determine requirements
  • Prepare layouts using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble materials
  • Build foundations, walls, and roof systems
  • Fit and install doors, windows, and stairs
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate structures
  • Supervise workers and instruct apprentices
  • Schedule and coordinate site work
  • Operate CADD and other software

Requirements:

Below are the job requirement for job:

  • Secondary school certificate or equivalent
  • 2 to less than 3 years of experience
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and layout
  • Skilled in wood and material handling
  • Familiarity with safety and building codes
  • Valid work permit
