Job Description

The Cook position is currently open at Swiss Chalet/Harvey’s in Uxbridge, Ontario. Candidates with 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in cooking are preferred, though a secondary school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following as a Cook:

Preparing and preparing food in accordance with restaurant standards.
Following instructions for presentation and recipes.
Keeping an eye on food safety and quality to make sure it adheres to regulations.
Keeping track of stock and food inventory.
Preserving a spotless and arranged work space in the kitchen.
Coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure prompt and effective food delivery.

Requirements

The following requirements must be met in order for candidates to be considered for the Cook position:

A diploma from a secondary school.
7 months to less than a year of cooking experience.
Understanding of proper food preparation and safety.
Quality and presentation of the food are both given attention.
Having the ability to work in a busy kitchen.
