Job Description

Sexton Lumber Co. Limited is currently seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team in Bloomfield, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, and a minimum of 1 year of driving experience is required.

Responsibilities

As a Truck Driver with 1 year of experience, your responsibilities will include

Safely driving a truck while moving items between places.
Cargo with care and effectiveness during loading and unloading.
Observing the rules of the road for safety and traffic.
Maintaining the truck’s appearance and functionality.
Planning and improving delivery routes to ensure on-time delivery.
Maintaining precise records for delivery and vehicle upkeep.
Coordinating delivery is done by communicating with dispatch and the customer.
Ensuring the cargo’s security while being transported.
Reporting any necessary vehicle upkeep or repairs.

Requirements

Candidates should fulfil the requirements below in order to be considered for the position of truck driver:

A minimum of one year’s worth of solid truck driving experience.
Having a current driving licence and a spotless driving record.
Understanding of driving guidelines and road safety legislation.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Fitness for lifting and carrying objects.
Strong skills in customer service and communication.
Authorize to work in Canada
