The successful applicant will prepare and sell meat products in a retail and wholesale setting, working morning, day and evening shifts with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean meat before processing or cutting
• Cut carcasses, sides and quarters, and cut, trim and prepare standard meat cuts
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers and special orders
• Wrap and package prepared meats, remove bones and weigh meats for sale
• Price meat products and sell meats to customers
• Grind meats and slice cooked meats
• Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
• Train meat cutters

Requirements

• Fluent in English
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience is an asset
• Client-focused, organized, flexible, reliable and a good team player, with good judgment
• Able to work in cold and refrigerated environments and in an environment with a high concentration of odours
• Detail oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination, able to work long hours standing
